Role Overview:

The Asset Manager plays a crucial role in managing supplier relationships to fulfill customer orders and maintain optimal inventory levels for high-demand products. This position requires effective negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery. A key responsibility is to swiftly address any discrepancies throughout the order process to ensure customer satisfaction while minimizing inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily purchase orders with suppliers utilizing the Inventory Management System (IMS).
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and customer credit arrangements are established before acquiring high-value or customer-specific items.
  • Review and authorize modifications or cancellations of customer orders.
  • Monitor supplier purchase orders via IMS and implement reschedules or cancellations as required.
  • Resolve pricing discrepancies in collaboration with marketing and suppliers.
  • Address receiving discrepancies with the distribution center and product marketing teams.
  • Act as the primary contact for resolving production line issues for customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, product marketing, and suppliers to minimize slow-moving inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Capability to identify and rectify inefficiencies in current processes.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying demands from different teams and market conditions.
