About The Role

As a result of proAV Limited's continued global success, we are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our in-house transportation operations team to support our domestic and international projects. Your primary role will be ensuring products and consumables are transported locally and globally in strict compliance with all relevant import and export laws and regulations, in the most cost-effective and efficient way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and liaise with courier and logistics companies to ensure seamless delivery of products and consumables.
  • Schedule deliveries on behalf of Project Managers for UK and international projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Ensure the selected option or route is cost-efficient and in line with commercial requirements, taking into account factors such as duty, VAT, and customs procedures.
  • Prepare supporting documentation in association with deliveries, including sales invoices and shipping invoices, to ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping.
  • Track shipments and update relevant teams on progress, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the logistics process.
  • Calculate duty and VAT costs for each consignment, ensuring accurate and compliant invoicing.
  • Process import and export declarations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Deal with general enquiries from importers and exporters concerning customs procedures, tariff classifications, duty rates, and other documentation requirements.
  • Raise orders and authorize orders up to limits of published authority, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
  • Log and monitor courier purchase logs for logistics, ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping.
  • Manage any insurance claims in line with delivery shortfall and damage to products, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Resolve delivery and collection discrepancies with both suppliers and internal teams, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Administer in-house documentation and processes, ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, stock returns teams, and finance departments, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedures, ensuring compliance and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping.
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to delivering the role, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Experience within a similar role, with exposure to international duties, customs, taxes, and other logistics-related complexities.
  • Able to work well within a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Self-management, communication, planning, and organizing skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft CRM and/or SAP, to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and progress priorities, with a strong focus on time management and productivity.
  • Excellent communication skills, via email and telephone, to ensure effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
