JOB DESCRIPTION

Regional Inventory Optimization Manager is essential for evaluating and implementing strategies across various Eastern hemisphere ISE sites aimed at enhancing inventory turnover rates. This role involves scrutinizing over-allocation reports, conducting regular inventory meetings, and offering analytical support to different locations regarding inventory fluctuations, including Finished Goods, Raw Materials, and Work in Progress (WIP). Following the successful implementation within the ISE CWE group, this position is being expanded to encompass additional ISE areas.

The Regional Inventory Optimization Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring effective inventory management across multiple sites. This position includes a range of analytical tasks vital for maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting operational requirements. The manager's contributions are key to sustaining a balanced and efficient inventory system. Through thorough analysis, strategic planning, and robust support, this role ensures that inventory levels are optimized, costs are managed, and supply chain operations remain agile and responsive. This position not only aids in immediate operational success but also aligns with long-term strategic objectives by refining the overall inventory management process.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supply Chain Support: Facilitate supply chain operational models (ETO, CTO, MTO), aligning inventory strategies with demand variability through the Demand-Driven Operating Model (DDOM). Manage master settings for Planning and Scheduling, material planning, scheduling, and execution for designated facilities.
  • Process Facilitation: Lead monthly MIPS+ / DDOM Buffer Review processes and S&OP framework, ensuring efficient inventory management and data integrity.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee Daily Management Systems for materials and planning KPIs, generating and analyzing over-allocation reports to ensure inventory accuracy and enhance stock turnover. Monitor inventory performance, design buffer strategies, and manage average stock turns to meet targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assess industry trends, formulate strategies for process enhancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain flow.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather and analyze data to support strategy development, facilitate data mining and report extraction using tools like Power BI and Incorta, and ensure accurate lead times and inventory data management.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, operations, and customers. Provide thought leadership on supply chain planning processes, support global demand rationalization, and facilitate demand and supply planning reconciliation.
  • Training & Development: Visit various locations to train and develop supply chain personnel, ensuring expectations are met. Lead weekly inventory meetings and assist different locations with detailed inventory insights.
  • Customer Support: Act as the primary contact for inventory movement inquiries, providing timely and accurate information. Assist in data cleanup and DDOM implementation efforts.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies regarding purchasing, health & safety, quality, and housekeeping. Fully accountable for achieving all relevant KPIs.
  • Miscellaneous Duties: Perform additional tasks as required by business needs. Travel domestically and internationally to support business or project objectives.
Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:
  • Experience with Demand-Driven Operating Model (DDOM) or similar Flow-Based methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Lean, Theory of Constraints, and Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and improving processes for inventory and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in utilizing inventory management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve inventory-related challenges.
  • Experience collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to support inventory and supply chain initiatives.
  • Experience in supply chain operations, with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
Desirable:
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Advanced skills in data mining, report extraction, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Incorta, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with industry-specific inventory challenges and solutions, particularly in manufacturing, retail, or distribution sectors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing projects related to inventory management and data cleanup.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to facilitate inventory reduction initiatives and support DDOM efforts.
