Patient Safety Coordinator

The Patient Safety Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the Patient Safety Team in creating a culture of high-quality care standards, preventing avoidable harm, and promoting quality improvement of services provided through evidence-based practice.
Main Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day administration of the Trust's risk management system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and reporting.
- Offer support and advice to users across the Trust, troubleshooting issues and handling queries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain the risk management system, ensuring it is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on LFPSE event data, ensuring it is accurately uploaded to NHSE and addressing any error messages that may arise.
- Act as the Central Alerting System (CAS) Liaison Officer, acknowledging receipt of alerts and cascading them within the Trust as necessary.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting to inform quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist the Patient Safety Information Manager in producing training materials and organizing Datix training sessions.
- Update and maintain patient safety intranet pages, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Administer and take minutes for various meetings across the Trust.

Requirements- Good general level of education with GCSE A-C in English and Mathematics.
- Understanding of patient safety and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other databases.
