IT Field Engineer

Reed Technology Belfast is partnering with a leading IT Managed Service Provider to find a skilled Field Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for attending customer sites to complete installation and maintenance work on various IT equipment, including PCs, printers, scanners, EPOS systems, and network hardware. They will also be required to work on-site locations and manage stock rotation of faulty spares and organize returns.

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-starting individual with a strong technical aptitude and excellent diagnostic skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows operating systems, VPN setup, and hardware installation and maintenance. They will also possess strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of IT equipment
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting of technical issues
  • Management of stock rotation and returns
  • Collaboration with the team to share best practices and information

Requirements:

  • Technical Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field
  • MCITP certification (desirable)
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and VPN setup
  • Strong technical aptitude and diagnostic skills
