Job Title: AVP - IT Risk
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP - IT Risk to join our Technology Risk Management team at Barclay Simpson. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology risks associated with IT projects and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks associated with IT projects and emerging technologies.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure IT project teams adhere to technology policies, standards, and procedures to promote best risk management practices.
- Project Oversight: Provide risk oversight for IT projects, ensuring risk considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Technology Risk Training: Embed a culture of risk awareness and ensure all relevant parties understand their roles in managing risk.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and leadership to support the organisation's risk management goals and strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of technology risk frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL) and a drive to deepen understanding in this area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
