About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equine Yard Technician to join our Equine Department at Hartpury University and Hartpury College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Equine Unit, ensuring the highest standards of horse welfare and providing an exceptional experience for students and commercial users.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Equine Department in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for horses, students, and staff.
Assist with the supervision of students while they undertake practical tasks and supervise student liveries.
Contribute to the planning and execution of International Equine Events and commercial bookings, ensuring seamless logistics and exceptional customer service.
Work collaboratively with the Equine Team to maintain high standards of horse care, cleanliness, and organization within the Equine Unit.

Requirements

Hold a BHS Stage 3 or equivalent qualification.
Have experience working in a large equine yard setting, with a strong understanding of horse care and welfare.
Be a team player with high standards of horse care and the enthusiasm to motivate students and maintain professional standards.
Be willing to work towards improving and developing your riding ability within two staff development lessons per week.
