Job Title: Logistics/Factory Technician

Hunt4 Employment is seeking a skilled Logistics and Factory Technician to join our client in Gloucester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the logistics of goods in and goods out, including inter-company site movements.
  • Drive the company vehicle to and from customers and suppliers, delivering and collecting goods as required.
  • Assist in internal factory logistics, moving materials and waste, and operate a forklift truck.
  • Support the assembly area with product painting and provide an extra pair of hands when needed.
  • Cut material on a bandsaw and fill-in operator loading and unloading parts on CNC machines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Forklift driving, unloading and loading vehicles, checking and booking in goods from suppliers.
  • Packing of goods ready for shipment, making up pallets or boxes of parts to be sent out to customers.
  • Processing and monitoring the storage, delivery and dispatch of orders.
  • Driving the company's transit pickup truck to facilitate the movement of stock between sites and suppliers and customers.
  • Issuing and cutting of material for the machine shop.
  • Assisting the press assembly team when an extra pair of hands or forklift driver is required.
  • Assisting with the priming and painting of machines and parts with brush and roller.
  • Working closely with the machine shop team, bringing in material and taking away waste and finished parts for storing or assembly.
  • Actively contributing to creating a safe working environment for all employees, customers, clients and suppliers who visit or use the site.
  • Being proactive in maintaining a clean and tidy working area within the factory and yard.
  • Supporting the management with stock organisation, stock counts and the re-organisation of storage as required.
  • Assisting the company in the development of its internal stock control system, which may require inputting information on computer systems.
  • Bringing new ideas for improvement to the attention of the company.
