Position Overview

Hours: Flexible part-time or full-time options available

Contract Type: Fixed Term/Secondment for a duration of 12 months

We are looking for a dedicated Program Coordinator to join our Corporate Operations Program Management Office. This role will focus on advancing our strategic Unscheduled Care Improvement Initiative, which includes the establishment of integrated assessment processes.

Note: If you are considering applying for this position on a secondment basis, please ensure you have the necessary approval from your current supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will become part of a well-established program management team, collaborating closely with the program lead as well as Clinical and Operational Teams.

The primary responsibility will be to oversee the effective management of projects aimed at enhancing unscheduled care and optimizing patient flow.

The ideal applicant will possess a strong background in service development and project management, demonstrating the ability to manage and implement change on complex initiatives. A self-motivated individual, you will be expected to work independently, utilizing your initiative to manage your workload efficiently and meet established deadlines. The successful candidate will also have the capability to inspire, negotiate, and influence stakeholders on intricate and sensitive projects at a strategic level.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Project Management, gained through a postgraduate diploma or practical experience in managing complex projects

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in service development and project management within a specialized area
  • Proficient in using word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and implement change effectively on complex projects

Desirable

  • Experience working within an NHS acute hospital or community setting
