Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team at Queri Recruit Ltd. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will be responsible for providing operational support to our direct material planning team, with a strong focus on stock control principles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for managing our material planning and scheduling team, ensuring seamless coordination and communication with production operations and stakeholders.
  • Stock management – Monitoring and reporting to Supply Chain Manager, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Stock management – reporting and actions with relevant stakeholders for slow-moving stocks, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing stockouts.
  • Working closely with production operations & scheduling team to ensure adherence to business requirements, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and follow up on forecast with our sales teams, ensuring accurate demand planning and supply chain optimization.
  • Collaborating with our procurement manager & suppliers, reviewing requirements, supplier delivery performance, and forecast, to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Reviewing current team and set-up, bringing innovative ideas for change and improvements, to enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Engage and be part of Continuous Improvement (CI) requirements within Planning & Purchase, as well as production processes which impact Supply Chain - Planning.

  • Compliance with Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (Q-EHS) rules, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Relevant Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of planning & purchasing processes from an industrial manufacturing background (ideally batch manufacturing), with a strong understanding of supply chain operations.
  • Excellent reporting and data presenting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft AX and strong skills in Excel.
  • Training/experience in continuous improvement techniques, with a strong leadership and coaching background.
