**Job Title:** Planning & Purchasing Manager
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Planning & Purchasing Manager to join our team at Queri Recruit Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational support to the direct material planning team, with a strong focus on stock control principles for the business and production operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for managing our material planning and scheduling team.
- Stock management – Monitoring and reporting to Supply Chain manager.
- Stock management – reporting and actions with relevant stakeholders for slow moving stocks.
- Working with production operations & scheduling team to ensure adherence to business requirements – adherence to plan.
- Monitor and follow up on forecast with our sales teams.
- Working closely with our procurement manager & suppliers, reviewing requirements, supplier delivery performance and forecast.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Ability to engage with all personnel throughout the company, as well as suppliers.
- Ability to apply forward thinking into a business which will be going through change.
- Ability to challenge other departments, whilst maintaining good working relationships.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent Analytical ability and critical thinking.
- Results orientated.
- Flexibility.
- Compliance with Q-EHS rules.
Relevant Knowledge:
- Knowledge of planning & purchasing processes from an industrial manufacturing background (ideally this will be batch manufacturing).
- Excellent reporting and data presenting skills.
- Training/ experience in continuous improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft AX desirable.
- Strong skills in Excel essential.
- Strong leadership and coaching experience.
