We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Estates Department at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of our maintenance services to ensure the delivery of high-quality facilities and services to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across the trust.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the effective management of our estate and assets.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of integrated maintenance services that meet the needs of our patients and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards, including HTM 06-02 and The Control of Legionellae in Healthcare Buildings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff to ensure the effective use of maintenance resources.
- Monitor and report on maintenance performance to ensure that we are meeting our targets and improving our services.
- Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant trade, such as electrical or mechanical engineering.
- City & Guilds craft certificate in a relevant trade.
- Desirable qualifications include BTEC or NVQ in a relevant trade, IT qualification, Health & Safety qualification, and IET certificate in fixed installation testing.
- Proven experience of working in a maintenance or engineering role, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and quality.
