Position Overview

As the E-commerce Merchandising Lead, you will report directly to the Senior Merchandising Manager and play a crucial role in optimizing sales and profitability across our digital platforms. Your insights into market trends will be vital in ensuring our customers have access to the right products at the right time, thereby fostering sales growth and positive conversion rates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Merchandising Manager in executing digital merchandising strategies to achieve e-commerce objectives across various platforms.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow merchandising managers to ensure high standards of delivery.
  • Lead a team focused on continuously enhancing the online customer journey, with the aim of improving conversion rates and revenue.
  • Work alongside Digital Trading Managers to launch new product ranges and implement necessary changes with appropriate content support.
  • Regularly assess product content, including attributes, images, and descriptions, to maximize online revenue.
  • Oversee the enhancement of user-generated content, such as customer reviews and Q&A, to boost conversion rates and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize content merchandising tools to analyze customer behavior and support strategic changes.
  • Propose A/B testing opportunities to optimize conversion rates based on data analysis.
  • Ensure our website is optimized for SEO, providing ongoing recommendations to improve search rankings.
  • Champion the creation of performance dashboards for self-service access to e-commerce metrics.
  • Collaborate with Digital Trading, Data Analytics, and Conversion Rate Optimization teams to derive insights and implement impactful changes.
  • Act as the primary contact for all third-party tools relevant to your area of expertise.
  • Conduct regular reviews of digital platforms, offering insights and suggestions to enhance merchandising performance.
  • Mentor team members in web merchandising best practices to elevate their skills and performance.
  • Facilitate regular one-on-one meetings and quarterly evaluations to provide feedback and support professional development.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Proficient in GA4 and other merchandising tools at an advanced level.
  • Experience with content analysis tools such as Content Square or Hot Jar.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEO principles, including technical aspects and backlinking.
  • Familiarity with third-party tools related to user-generated content.
  • In-depth knowledge of search journeys and platform functionalities, with preferred experience in relevant technologies.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within the retail sector.
  • Proven track record in team management and development.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
