Position Overview

As the E-commerce Merchandising Lead, you will report to the Senior Merchandising Manager and play a pivotal role in optimizing product presentation to drive sales and profitability. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing market dynamics and collaborating with Trading Managers to ensure our product offerings meet customer needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Merchandising Manager in executing web merchandising strategies to achieve e-commerce objectives across various platforms.
  • Foster collaboration with fellow merchandising managers to ensure excellence in delivery.
  • Lead a team to implement strategies aimed at continuously enhancing the online customer journey, focusing on improving conversion rates and revenue.
  • Work closely with Digital Trading Managers to successfully introduce new product lines and manage seasonal changes with appropriate content and merchandising.
  • Regularly assess product content, including attributes, images, and descriptions, to maximize e-commerce revenue.
  • Enhance user-generated content (UGC) such as customer reviews and Q&A to boost conversion rates and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize content merchandising tools like GA4, Content Square, and Hot Jar to monitor customer behavior and support data-driven changes.
  • Propose A/B testing opportunities to the Senior Optimization Manager to enhance conversion rates.
  • Ensure the website is optimized for SEO traffic and provide ongoing recommendations to improve search rankings.
  • Champion the creation of reports and dashboards for self-service, keeping merchandising and digital teams informed about e-commerce performance.
  • Collaborate with Digital Trading, Data Analytics, and CRO teams to gain insights, address challenges, and implement impactful changes.
  • Act as the primary contact for all third-party tools relevant to your area of expertise.
  • Conduct regular reviews of digital platforms, offering valuable insights and suggestions regarding merchandising performance.
  • Mentor team members in web merchandising best practices to elevate their capabilities.
  • Engage in regular one-on-one meetings and quarterly reviews to provide feedback and support professional development.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Proficient in GA4 and other merchandising tools at an advanced level.
  • Experience with Content Square, Hot Jar, and Bazaar Voice is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEO, including technical aspects and backlinking.
  • Familiarity with third-party tools related to UGC.
  • In-depth knowledge of search journeys and platform capabilities, with preferred experience in Fredhopper or Algolia.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within the retail sector.
  • Proven experience in team management and development.
  • Customer-centric approach.
