About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering values-based care to individuals with mental health illnesses, learning disabilities, and other physical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Support adults with various conditions on a person-centered basis, including following care plans, administering medication, and assisting with daily living tasks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, families, and carers to ensure that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare staff, social workers, and therapists, to ensure that individuals receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual's needs and goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure that individuals receive the best possible support.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, with a strong understanding of values-based care and person-centered support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and carers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare staff, social workers, and therapists.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
