About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Advance. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering outreach support to our customers with mental health conditions, enabling them to live the lives they choose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, as required
  • Administer medication, as required
  • Support with preparing and cooking meals
  • Accompany customers to medical appointments
  • Support with social activities and independent skills
  • Assist with domestic duties, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Keep accurate records and update care plans as required
  • Stay up-to-date with training and professional development
Waking Night Activities
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, as required
  • Ensure the premises are secure and safe during the night
  • Support with meal times and food preparation, as required
  • Administer medication, as required
  • Support with independent skills and domestic duties
  • Keep accurate records and update care plans as required
  • Stay up-to-date with training and professional development
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a sound knowledge of supporting individuals with mental health conditions. You will be a good communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent record-keeping skills.

Requirements
  • Full UK/International driving license
  • Access to a vehicle, with mileage paid at 0.45p per mile
  • Ability to work every other weekend
  • Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate
  • Literacy and numeracy in English
