About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team at Seasalt Cornwall. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting various reporting functions and collaborating closely with different areas of the business through effective finance business partnering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis and develop tools to enhance business partnering capabilities, improve financial reporting, and streamline forecasting processes.
  • Work closely with Commercial Finance Managers to provide essential support in several key areas, including annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs and deliver clear and actionable insights through analysis and commentary on critical business areas.
  • Monitor marketing spend against budgets, calculate monthly accruals and prepayments, and collaborate with managers to input into business partnering conversations.
  • Ensure budget holders have access to accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.
Requirements
  • AAT qualified or an ACCA/CIMA studier.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven experience working with large amounts of data.
  • Commercial understanding of key sales and profit drivers.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to communicate finance data to non-finance professionals to enable the internal customer to assess performance and make future decisions.
  • Ability to exert a wider influence through your findings.
  • Sound problem-solving skills.
  • Good financial analysis skills with knowledge of planning and budgeting cycles.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data modeling experience and the ability to create meaningful and diligent finance business partner reports from your analysis.
