Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant/Assistant Management Accountant to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the production of site management accounts, managing purchase orders and supplier invoices, and preparing monthly reports and SOX reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of weekly management accounts and daily KPI reporting
- Maintain accurate product costings in production systems and investigate system errors and material variances
- Prepare weekly and monthly reconciliations and assist in the production of monthly accounts
- Manage open purchase requisitions and purchase orders for the site and facilitate corrective actions
- Assist in banking and cash management and perform other ad-hoc duties as directed by senior management
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in a finance role and strong IT skills, specifically in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, good communication skills, and ability to work with employees at all levels
- Strong team player with a flexible and proactive approach to work and ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to prioritize workload and consistently achieve deadlines and learn from experience
