About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced registered nurse to join our expanding Elderly Virtual Ward team as a Ward Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a clinical team, delegating work to staff, and developing seamless and integrated care pathways between acute wards and primary care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a clinical team, delegating work to staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement care pathways that promote seamless transitions between acute wards and primary care.
  • Collaborate with clinicians in partner organizations to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Act as a role model for staff within the EVW service, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and manage nursing, therapy, support, and administration staff within the EVW service.

Requirements
  • RN 1st level degree
  • Extensive post-registration experience in a relevant clinical specialty
  • Substantial experience of working with the elderly
  • Recent relevant experience in service improvement and design
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Competent IT skills
