About the Role

Appoint Healthcare is proud to partner with a leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs. We are seeking an experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team in a specialist acute mental health hospital for men aged 18 years and over.

The hospital provides a comprehensive pathway of acute admissions services for men, working to assess and manage risk factors, allowing the hospital to work successfully and robustly with individuals posing a higher level of complexity and challenge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams and senior practice-based work, ensuring high-quality care delivery
  • Establish therapeutic boundaries with high-risk patients requiring advanced interventions
  • Drive and implement effective clinical practices and leadership in care delivery
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, and key performance indicators
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the hospital's strategy as part of the Senior Management team
Requirements
  • A relevant nursing qualification (RMN or RNLD trained) with at least 2 years of managerial experience
  • NMC registration
  • Proven track record in leading teams and senior practice-based work
  • Expertise in setting, monitoring, and evaluating standards for high-quality care
  • Competent in preparing and presenting reports to senior management
