Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Designing AC and DC power generation and distribution systems, focusing on sizing, protection, control, and the specification of power supplies and converters.
  • Developing motor drives, control systems, and positioning technologies.
  • Managing and verifying electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Specifying custom procured hardware.
  • Conducting design verification through simulation, analysis, and testing, including collaboration with EMC test facilities and customer installations.
  • Creating design documentation and technical reports.
  • Collaborating with related engineering disciplines.
  • Adhering to the Engineering Lifecycle and contributing to progress, peer, and design reviews.
  • Providing electrical engineering expertise to project teams.

Required Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a closely related field, along with experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Developing component-level electronic designs for mass production.
  • Experience in defense or high safety integrity environments.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards and EMC qualification to relevant standards.
  • Design validation, integration, and defect resolution.
  • Gathering evidence to support compliance with acceptance criteria, legislative requirements, and safety standards.
  • A methodical approach to safety considerations associated with high power/high voltage equipment.
  • Experience in supporting new electrical circuit board designs and upgrades.

The Radar Development team is expanding and embarking on innovative technology advancements for next-generation Radar and Sensor Systems.
