About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Capital Projects Manager to join our Estates and Facilities Directorate at Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing estates capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of estates capital projects, including building and engineering projects, refurbishments, and minor works.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring compliance with statutory and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other specialists, to deliver projects successfully.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring value for money and efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to the required quality standards, meeting the needs of our service users and staff.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Capital Projects Manager who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as project management, engineering, or estates management.
  • Significant experience of managing estates capital projects, including building and engineering projects, refurbishments, and minor works.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and implement project plans, monitor and control budgets, and ensure projects are delivered to the required quality standards.
  • Knowledge of NHS/public sector policy and procedure, particularly in relation to procurement, contractor management, and financial management.
