Compliance Manager - Care Regulated Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our Clinical Governance Team at Shaw Healthcare. This role is a hybrid position that requires strong analytical and auditing skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and completing rigorous audits/inspections across Shaw healthcare settings that are registered with national regulators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaison with Service Managers, operational management teams, and Shaw head office colleagues.
  • Relay outcomes of compliance audits, setting requirements and timescales for completion.
  • Report to the Director of Compliance and Governance, working closely with Compliance & Governance colleagues.
  • Maintain oversight and management of a caseload of regulated services.
  • Carry out audits in line with an agreed programme, observing and reporting on the well-being of people using the service.
  • Follow and progress actions in relation to services of concern.
  • Work with managers to contribute to setting and achieving organisational performance objectives.
  • Prepare correspondence/reports in relation to specific issues raised about services.
General Management
  • Plan, organise, and conduct Compliance Audits in all Shaw healthcare settings registered with CQC/CIW/Care Inspectorate & Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
  • Provide relevant professional advice and analysis within corporate Compliance & Governance expectations.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Maintain registration with NMC (when applicable).
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, guidance, and best practices.
Essential Criteria
  • Excellent analytical, clinical, auditing, and presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory framework and its influence on registered settings.
  • Experience in staff and audit management within health and social care.
  • Proven experience and qualifications within health and social care including management certification.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Objective evidence collection for informed decisions about quality of care.
  • Positive, honest, and constructive approach when inspecting/auditing.
  • Car driver & current license.
