Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in supporting the operational efficiency of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Engage in the installation and modification of mechanical equipment as required.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts to address mechanical breakdowns promptly.
  • Adhere to a structured maintenance schedule while contributing to installation projects and commissioning activities.

What You Will Be Doing:

Your primary focus will be on:

  • Investigating and resolving mechanical issues efficiently to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks on mechanical apparatus in line with established standards.
  • Providing expert technical guidance to team members and assisting in the training of new staff.
  • Maintaining a variety of mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, and measurement devices.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A completed apprenticeship with substantial experience in mechanical systems.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or C&G level 3 in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with large-scale industrial equipment, particularly in the utilities sector.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • A valid UK driving license.
