Overview:
The Night Auditor at Clayton Hotel Glasgow plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during nighttime hours. This position requires a dedicated individual with a background in hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee hotel operations during the night shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Manage a team of Night Porters, ensuring all tasks are executed to the highest standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain guest relations.
- Conduct health and safety checks, including fire walks and security assessments.
- Perform front office duties, including running night audit reports and handling guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Facilitate food and beverage service during night hours.
- Maintain cleanliness in the hotel lobby and meeting areas.
- Lead the Night team to achieve performance goals related to audits and quality evaluations.
- Support the professional development of team members, preparing them for future opportunities.
- Contribute to the strategic management of hotel operations.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar night or reception role.
- Strong knowledge of the hotel industry.
- Prior experience in hospitality is essential.
- Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of Opera and Brilliant electronic front office systems.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with a capacity to delegate tasks effectively.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
