Job Summary:
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety, Health and Environment Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our clients and employees in the manufacturing and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the health and safety team to implement the ISO 14001 system and ensure site setup is compliant with health and safety legislation.
- Manage the company health and safety policy and update as required, advancing and developing site-specific RAMS.
- Complete internal audits and provide training on health and safety matters to employees.
- Provide information and solutions on how accidents can be eliminated or reduced.
- Manage health and safety on site, including associated paperwork, and periodically carry out site visits and audits to maintain a good health and safety culture.
- Provide reports to the Managing Director on findings, including planned improvements.
- Attend pre-start meetings with site project teams and chair regular health and safety review meetings with the management team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in the manufacturing and construction sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, and ability to use initiative.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively, and offer guidance and support to colleagues.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
