Health and Safety Manager

Hays Construction and Property is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's health and safety policies are implemented and maintained across all sites.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in the construction and manufacturing sectors. You will be responsible for conducting site visits, audits, and providing training to employees on health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Hays Construction and Property team to implement the ISO 14001 system and ensure site setup is compliant with health and safety legislation.
- Manage the company's health and safety policy and update as required, advancing and developing site-specific RAMS.
- Complete internal audits and provide reports to the Managing Director on findings, including planned improvements.
- Attend pre-start meetings with site project teams and chair regular health and safety review meetings with the management team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in health and safety, with experience in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with employees and management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A flexible approach to work, with the ability to travel to sites across the UK as required.
