About the Role

Hays Construction and Property is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that our organization remains legally compliant with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Health and Safety Policy: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health and safety policy that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Site Visits and Audits: Conduct regular site visits and audits to identify potential health and safety risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to employees and contractors on health and safety best practices.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular health and safety reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Qualifications: A recognized health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex health and safety information to employees and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence employees to adopt health and safety best practices.
