Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in the Southwest Region. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting customers across the region to sell Kennametal's extensive range of tooling products, while maintaining the current customer base, pipeline, and enquiries. You will also be expected to explore new business opportunities and provide process solutions and optimization to current and potential clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers across the Southwest Region.
- Sell Kennametal's tooling products to customers, highlighting their benefits and value proposition.
- Provide process solutions and optimization to customers, leveraging your technical knowledge of CNC machines.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales performance, and market trends.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a multi-skilled Machinist, Applications or Sales Engineer.
- Technical knowledge of CNC machines and tooling solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
- Confidence in a customer-facing role, with the ability to handle objections and negotiate sales.
- Full UK driving license, with frequent travel required (up to 80%).
