About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at a prestigious Country House Hotel in Lincolnshire. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operation and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the kitchen operation from start to finish, ensuring seamless service delivery
  • Work with local suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and place food orders
  • Conduct regular stock takes to maintain inventory levels and control costs
  • Ensure all health and safety compliance paperwork is up to date and maintained
  • Implement a clean as you go policy to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Train and develop junior chefs to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Compete rotas for all team members within the kitchen brigade
  • Collaborate with the hotel owner to develop menus for upcoming events and seasonal changes
Requirements and Skills
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a similar environment, preferably in a la carte restaurants, hotels, or gastro pubs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Keen eye for detail, with a focus on presentation and quality of food
  • Ability to work under pressure, both individually and as part of a team
  • Level 2 food hygiene certificate (or equivalent) and food allergen certificates within the last year
  • Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and occasional nights. The hotel is located in a rural area, and public transport links are limited. A car or other reliable transportation is essential for this role.
