SEND Operations Coordinator

Fixed Term, Full Time - 37 hours per week

Up to £32,545 Per Annum

Role Overview

Essex County Council (ECC) is looking for dedicated professionals to join our SEND Operations Team across various locations. We are one of the largest local authorities in the UK, serving a diverse population and committed to delivering transformational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer the Education Health Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Coordinate school placement requests for children relocating to Essex with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory processes and maintain existing EHCPs to deliver special educational provision effectively.
  • Act as a liaison for families and partners during the EHCNA, providing necessary advice and information.
  • Organize and chair Statutory Annual Review Meetings, ensuring all relevant parties are included.
  • Maintain accurate data records to support the Council's reporting and monitoring obligations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum education of RQF level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and experience working with young people with SEND.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse audience.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing situations.
