Care Manager Leader

Stephen James Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a reputable elderly care provider to recruit a General Care Manager for one of their flagship care homes in Southwark, South-east London.
This medium-sized care home, spanning two floors, offers specialist residential, Alzheimer's, and dementia care for older individuals. The home benefits from excellent local amenities, including markets, restaurants, GP surgeries, and strong relationships with Kings College Hospital. The highly trained care team provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the care home team, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement.
- Manage the large staff team to achieve outstanding outcomes for residents, adopting a 'risk-aware' approach to care and support.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and revenue for the site.
- Ensure timely notifications to relevant regulatory bodies, including the CQC, Health and Safety Executive, Commissioners, and Local Authority safeguarding team.
- Cultivate relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and referral sources to expand the client base and revenue.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the highest quality of care and support for residents.
- Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for new service offerings or partnerships.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of management experience within residential or dementia care.
- Proven track record of service improvement and good commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated exceptional leadership across multi-disciplinary teams and expertise in achieving outstanding results from staff teams.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to demonstrate 'proven' client-facing/presentation skills.
