About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Learning Team Leader, you will join the People and Learning Team, which is committed to delivering a high-performing and respected People and Learning function.

The primary focus of the Workplace Development Coach is to collaborate with the Lower Hunter HammondCare at Home Care Team and the Learning Team to enhance the lives of individuals receiving HammondCare services through effective coaching and mentoring of colleagues. The main goal is to empower Care staff to implement the HammondCare Model of Care effectively.

This is a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with local management, Educators, Learning, Dementia Centre, Quality, Safety and Risk teams, and other colleagues to identify learning and development needs.
  • Facilitate and support the implementation of a case management approach by the Care Team.
  • Partner with local Learning Team members to design training schedules that address both learner and service requirements.
  • Deliver learning activities in various formats, including face-to-face sessions, individual and group training, webinars, and workplace assessments, tailored to service needs.
  • Support the comprehensive learning journey for care staff from orientation onward as part of the new employee retention initiative.
  • Assist staff pursuing ASQA accredited qualifications, including Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing Support.

About You

  • A strong commitment to engage with and align to HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation, and Mission in Action.
  • Proven experience in the Australian Aged Care Sector.
  • Demonstrated capability in a practical training, mentoring, or coaching role.
  • Dedication to fostering lifelong learning for oneself and others.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in the MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Teams) at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Current Certificate III in Individualised Support is preferred, or a willingness to undertake it is highly desirable.
