Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing the management of inventory levels, analyzing inventory performance, and ensuring optimal stock levels. This role involves collaborating closely with various departments, including finance, procurement, production, sales, and logistics, to maintain a balanced inventory that meets customer needs without incurring unnecessary costs. In slow periods, involvement in light assembly of cable assemblies would be required (full training provided).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving and Inspecting Goods:
  • Receive and unload incoming goods and materials from suppliers;
  • Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and damage and report any discrepancies or issues;
  • Record and document received items in the inventory management system.
Order Fulfillment:
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to customer or internal requirements;
  • Ensure that orders are accurately fulfilled and that the correct items and quantities are dispatched;
  • Coordinate with the shipping department to schedule and prepare shipments.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels;
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels;
  • Ensure that inventory is sufficient to meet demand without overstocking.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements;
  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory records and reports;
  • Contribute to the development of inventory management policies and procedures.
