Starting Salary: £25,480 (inclusive of 1 sleep-in a week). We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Support Worker for our Supported Living Scheme. You will collaborate with a team to provide round-the-clock assistance to adults facing intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges across multiple services.

Our Supported Living team is committed to empowering our tenants in their daily activities, enabling them to enjoy independent and fulfilling lives.

As a Support Worker, your role will involve:

  • Advocating for their rights and facilitating self-expression
  • Addressing their emotional and communication needs
  • Assisting with essential life skills, including budgeting, shopping, laundry, cooking, and cleaning
  • Encouraging community engagement through appointments and social events
  • Fostering a joyful environment filled with fun and laughter

Whether you are aiding a tenant in grocery shopping or meal preparation, this position allows you to enhance skills such as attention to detail and effective communication.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Compassion and patience
  • Open-mindedness and eagerness to learn
  • Resilience and energy for problem-solving
  • A strong sense of fun
  • Care Certificate (not mandatory)
  • Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving License (preferred but not essential)

We are looking for individuals with positive attitudes, adaptability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Support Worker Shifts

This full-time role consists of 37.5 hours per week with varied shifts, including early and late hours, weekends, and bank holidays. Sleep-in shifts are also required at a rate of £67.50 per night.
