The Director of Operations is accountable for overseeing all facets of site management and enhancing member experiences. This role involves evaluating current operations and introducing new strategies to achieve outstanding service quality.

Operational Management

  • Ensure optimal site management and staffing levels for efficient daily operations.
  • Monitor adherence to pre-opening and post-closing procedures.
  • Communicate and uphold all organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of front-of-house processes, systems, and member management tools.
  • Oversee inventory management, procurement, and delivery processes.
  • Manage service providers including housekeeping, catering, and wellness services, ensuring member access to these amenities.
  • Maintain up-to-date informational databases.

Financial Oversight

  • Adhere to budgetary constraints and financial guidelines.
  • Supervise procurement of goods and services in alignment with budgetary control.
  • Understand site management accounts and participate in financial reviews.
  • Ensure achievement of Gross Profit Margin targets.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Promote a positive work culture focused on hospitality and service excellence.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively, providing staff with growth opportunities.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate updates and important information.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing department.

Health, Safety, and Maintenance

  • Ensure completion of all required legislative training.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations within the workplace.
  • Conduct regular health and safety meetings and audits.

Member Engagement and Community Building

  • Foster strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and members.
  • Create a professional and productive environment by understanding member needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Assist in member onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Proactively engage in event programming with the events team.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen community ties and partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' managerial experience in hospitality, retail, or coworking sectors.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to timely project completion.
