Digital Operations Director

The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Operations and Digital Transformation. This is a part-time position, working 21 hours a week, with flexibility to attend dance events during the weekend.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Digital Transformation Project, overseeing HR, digital, and facilities management, and ensuring that ISTD's legal obligations are met. They will also be responsible for business planning and direction setting, as well as managing relationships with external IT support providers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Digital Transformation Project and manage the digital project governance board.
- Oversee HR, digital, and facilities management, ensuring that ISTD has the physical, human, and technological resources needed to achieve planned growth and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with external IT support providers and lead on the organisation's digital strategy.
- Act as ISTD's Data Protection Officer and ensure that the organisation's data management practices are compliant with relevant legislation.
- Identify and implement strategic opportunities for growth in line with ISTD's mission, core values, and business plan.
- Review and redesign departmental staffing structures to meet financial and performance targets.
- Support and nurture staff development to ensure high-quality delivery of all services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working at a senior level in digital services, ideally within a membership or educational environment. They will have a proven track record of developing and delivering complex digital systems, as well as substantial project management experience and a proven ability to set, control, and report on budgeting.
