About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Devon County Council. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our Children's Home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people to achieve their personal goals and aspirations
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, their families, and other professionals
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and independence of children and young people
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of children and young people are met
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive and responsive service that meets the needs of children and young people
Requirements
  • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with children and young people, their families, and other professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Capacity to implement boundaries and maintain a safe and respectful environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the achievement of team goals
  • Empathy, emotional resilience, and self-awareness
