Job Opportunity: Clinical Assessor - Functional Role

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Assessor to join our team at SJB Medical. As a Clinical Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments of individuals to determine the impact of their disabilities or conditions on their work life.
  • Use your clinical expertise to gather information and make informed decisions.
  • Produce accurate and concise reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to inform benefit eligibility decisions.
  • Work with individuals to understand their medical history and perform physical examinations as needed.

Requirements

  • NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months broad-based clinical post-registration experience within the past 5 years.
  • Experience of working with adults in a range of clinical situations.
  • NMC-registered with proof of Continuous Professional Development.
  • IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
  • Self-aware and focused on professional development.
  • Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect and sensitivity in assessment delivery.

Training and Development

You can look forward to four days of dedicated CPD per year, 1:1 clinical coaching with a dedicated coach and communities of practice. There'll also be the opportunity to undertake professional and personal development with a wide range of training and coaching to expand your capabilities.
