Job Title: Quality Control Team Lead

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of QC technicians, providing mentorship, training, and support to ensure effective execution of quality control activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain quality control procedures, standards, and specifications to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits to assess product quality, identifying any defects, non-conformities, or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize quality incidents and improve overall product quality.
  • Supervise and analyze quality metrics and trends, providing regular reports to management and recommending process improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality control, and ensure compliance within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Microbiology, Chemistry, Quality Management) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a people manager or similar role, preferably in a laboratory environment.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, GLP, FDA regulations).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
  • Analytical approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present quality-related information.
  • Thorough and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver.
  • Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
