Quality Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager to lead our Microbiology Laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a high-performing team of scientists to achieve exceptional quality and performance.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate laboratory operations, including scheduling, planning, and administration, to ensure targets are met within agreed timeframes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and process performance.
- Ensure testing is carried out in accordance with product specifications and external quality control requirements.
- Monitor, record, analyze, and report on laboratory activities, trends, results, and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, including ISO, BS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratory by identifying and implementing process performance and compliance improvement programs.
- Provide microbiological technical expertise, trouble-shooting, training, and support to the laboratory team.
- Manage personnel and fiscal budgets, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
- Experience leading a team of scientists in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or clinical quality control environment.
- Experience running a BSL2 laboratory, with BSL3 experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical device, GMP, EU Regulation, or ISO 13485, 11133, and Guide 34.
- Proven understanding of quality and scientific principles.
- Laboratory safety experience.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and functions optimally in a global organization.
- SAP Quality Module experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge, influence, and build consensus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
