Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and support of the IT/management systems in Blood transfusion, with a focus on the BloodTrack system.

Key Duties
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the BloodTrack system and related administrative tasks
  • Assist with system upgrades and ensure seamless integration
  • Verify and validate system functionality to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
  • Take minutes and provide administrative support to the team
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or equivalent level of knowledge in a relevant field, with evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and experience in pathology or laboratory settings.

Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and database packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise language
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good telephone manner and confidence in making presentations
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and work on own initiative
Experience

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS, with a strong understanding of the current issues relating to governance within the NHS.
