About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to join our Leadership Team at Devon County Council. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, supporting the Director of Transformation and Business Services in driving service improvement and transformational change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Directorate, ensuring alignment with the Council's priorities and objectives.
  • Support the Director in developing and implementing transformational change initiatives, driving service improvement and innovation.
  • Lead and manage operational services, including Digital and Technology Services and Scomis, ensuring effective delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with partners, elected members, and staff, promoting a culture of inclusivity and agility.
  • Drive forward the digital agenda, embracing technology to support the Council's strategic objectives and improve services for our citizens.
