Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring effective implementation of policies and performance management.
  • Support the Chief Fire Officer in leading the service, driving innovation, transformation, and modernisation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve organisational effectiveness and performance.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a substantive Area/Brigade Manager, leading significant change within a fire and rescue service.
  • Strong track record of innovation, transformation, and modernisation in a large organisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial and budgetary context in which a modern fire and rescue service operates.
