Consultant Psychiatrist in Learning Disability

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Adult Community division, specifically the Spalding and Boston Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT). As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused services and supporting the development of general adult psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct medical reviews of patients as agreed in multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Attend management and academic meetings to contribute to the development of services.
- Provide advice to GPs, Liaison Teams, and Hospitals, with occasional hospital attendance.
- Prepare reports and attend mental health tribunals for patients on Community Treatment Orders.
- Review and prepare reports for patients subject to Section 37/41 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Assist trust-sponsored research projects and supervise nurse prescribers.
- Be responsible for assessing emergencies, including assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983 and Section 136 assessments as part of the on-call rota.
- Provide cover to community consultant colleagues on a mutually agreed basis and participate in the on-call rota.

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following qualifications and experience:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- DBS clearance.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Widespread and detailed experience of assessment and management of general adult patients.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
