Job Title: Smart Metering Quality Assurance Auditor

The Smart Metering project is a key initiative for Affinity Water, aiming to maximize benefits for customers, the environment, and the business through the installation of smart meters. As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of works conducted by delivery partners and Affinity Water teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive quality assessments, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with established standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Focus on all aspects of the Smart Metering Programme, including meter replacements, installations, maintenance, reinstatements, and associated technology deployment.
  • Ensure thorough understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and practices, with a focus on assurance and compliance within the utilities industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices governing quality assurance and compliance activities in the utilities sector.
  • Understanding of risk management principles and techniques to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Quality, Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) preferred.
  • Hold a New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) Supervisor qualification. The SLG qualification is also required.
  • Valid UK driving license.
