Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Medical Inpatient Physiotherapy team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and friendly team, providing physiotherapy services to patients with complex medical conditions. As a Specialist Oncology Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of conditions, including acute respiratory needs.

You will work flexibly across various clinical areas, including respiratory, renal, oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, and palliative care. Your expertise will be utilized to provide training and teaching to more junior staff, as well as supporting the development of the service in line with evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with complex medical conditions, including acute respiratory needs.
  • Work flexibly across various clinical areas, including respiratory, renal, oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, and palliative care.
  • Provide training and teaching to more junior staff.
  • Support the development of the service in line with evidence-based practice.
  • Supervise more junior staff, including Band 5 therapists, support workers, and students.
  • Deputise for Band 7's as appropriate.
  • Work flexibly, including late shifts, weekend, and out-of-hours rotas.
Requirements
  • BSc honours degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of postgraduate training relevant to the area.
  • Experience in evaluation of practice and appraisal of performance.
  • Previous Band 6 experience.
  • Experience of performance management.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Evidence of manual handling skills.
  • Qualified driver/car owner.
What We Offer
