Specialist Oncology Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Medical Inpatient Physiotherapy team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and friendly team, providing physiotherapy services to patients with complex medical conditions across a wide range of clinical areas.
As a Specialist Oncology Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of conditions, including acute respiratory needs, and providing training and teaching to more junior staff.
You will work flexibly, including late shifts, weekend and out-of-hours rotas, and will be responsible for your own inpatient caseload as well as supporting band 5 therapists, support workers and students.
Key Responsibilities- Supervising and mentoring more junior staff, including band 5 therapists and support workers.
- Deputising for senior physiotherapists as required.
- Working collaboratively with the team to develop and implement evidence-based practice.
- Providing training and education to staff and students.
- Participating in on-call and weekend working as required.
- BSc honours degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
- Postgraduate training relevant to the area of oncology physiotherapy.
- Experience in evaluating practice and appraising performance.
- Previous experience as a band 6 physiotherapist.
- Experience of performance management.
This is a permanent, full-time post, working 37 hours per week. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with flexible working arrangements considered.
Additional duties will include participation in on-call and weekend working as well as late shifts (1-9pm).
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this post is £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, pro rata.
