The Mathematics Events Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the work of the Newton Gateway to Mathematics. This involves contributing to the delivery of programme activities, including events, marketing communications, and database management. The successful candidate will have excellent project coordination skills and experience in event development and delivery.
The Institute and the Newton Gateway to MathematicsThe Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences is a national and international visitor research centre that runs programmes on selected themes. The Newton Gateway to Mathematics acts as a knowledge intermediary for the mathematical sciences, engaging with users of mathematics in industry, business, and other scientific disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the development and delivery of programme activities, including events and marketing communications
- Manage databases and assist with administration of financial aspects, including budgets and e-sales
- Work closely with academics and individuals from government, business, and industry to support the aims and objectives of the Newton Gateway
The successful candidate will have a degree-level qualification or equivalent level of practical experience. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, administrative experience, and versatile communications skills.
