We are seeking an experienced Education Programme Coordinator to join our dedicated and skilled Education, Engagement and Wellbeing team at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
About the RoleThis is a part-time (30.5 hours per week), permanent position based at our Grassington office, with the potential for some home working. You will be responsible for leading on the planning, design and delivery of our education programme for schools and families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver creative and innovative education programmes that connect young people with the special qualities of the National Park.
- Work with schools and families to develop pro-environmental behaviour and promote the health and wellbeing of young people.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver safe, enjoyable and informative activities to school children and students from early years through to tertiary education.
- Plan and deliver fieldwork sessions, enquiry-based work, classroom-based lessons, assemblies, talks and walks.
- A degree in a relevant subject.
- Experience of teaching or leading educational groups outdoors.
- Knowledge of the importance of nature connection for young people's health and wellbeing.
- Experience of engaging with parents and families.
- Access to a car or means of mobility support to meet travel demands of the post.
